The Teams Experience will be hosted on June 8th and June 10th, 2021. Participants
may sign up for 1 available session. More sessions will be hosted in August. The
Teams Experience is designed to give faculty members who possess limited experience
with Microsoft Teams, an opportunity to meaningfully engage with Teams in a manner
that will prepare them to use Teams as an ancillary teaching tool.
Prospective participants are faculty members with limited to no experience using Microsoft
Teams or individuals that want to gain experience using Teams as a synchronous learning
tool.
Participants will get experience in organizing channels, files, and documents within
Teams. Participants will learn how channels are effectively used in the context of
an online course. They will practice using breakout rooms, using applications, and
screensharing.
Each session will last 30 minutes and is limited to five participants per session. There will be (4) thirty-minute sessions in the morning of each day between 10am
-12pm and (4) thirty-minute sessions between 2pm and 4pm. Participants will be assigned
a session on a first-come, first-serve basis.
You will not be confirmed for a session until you receive an email from Nikki Hill
(rhill23) confirming your session time. Once confirmed, you will receive an invitation
to the meeting at least one week prior to the meeting.
